Release: Annual Charlotte Pride Festival announced for Aug. 24-25

Organizers for the annual Charlotte Pride have announced 2013 festivities will be held August 24-25, 2013 in Uptown Charlotte, the culmination of a week-long slate of events highlighting the social, cultural, ethnic, artistic and political diversity of the Charlotte-Metro area’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities. The announcement of this year’s dates comes after last year’s wildly successful event, which drew more than 45,000 people to Uptown just one week before the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
