2019 Charlotte Pride Interfaith Service
August 11 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFree
Charlotte Pride’s annual Interfaith Service is “returning home,” so to speak, to the faith congregation that helped us start it all! In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and Uprising, we return to Caldwell Presbyterian Church, the first host of our Interfaith Services beginning in 2011.
During the 2018 Charlotte Pride Interfaith Service, dozens of clergy members from a diversity of faith organizations came together to encourage love and welcome as they assembled to kick off Pride Week at St. John’s Baptist Church.
We’ll join together again for our annual service, held this year at Caldwell Presbyterian Church, 1609 E. 5th St., Charlotte, NC, 28204. The service begins at 4pm. A reception with refreshments follows in the church’s Belk Hall.
Over the past few years, the Interfaith Service has grown exponentially, both in the number of clergy members participating and in the number of people attending the service. We want that growth to continue in 2019.
This service is a time for the LGBTQIA community to experience support and love from these open and affirming faith organizations. And it is a great way to kick off Charlotte Pride Week!
