Trans Day of Remembrance: Hope, Healing & Resilience
November 20 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Join a variety of community organizations who are partnering this year to commemorate Trans Day of Remembrance with a night of hope, healing, and resilience. We will stand in solidarity for our trans siblings lost this year while providing space for healing and resilience as we continue our fight to make our communities safer for all trans people.
The evening will begin at 6pm with a time of social connection, with food offerings and a variety of activities available, including reflection and decompression activities. At 7pm, we will begin the program, including recognition of those lost this past year, personal storytelling, and performances. If you are interested in performing or sharing a story, there is limited availability, but please email Jerry Yelton at email@example.com.
Presented by Transcend Charlotte and Charlotte Trans Pride in collaboration with the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare Group, Freedom Center for Social Justice, Genderlines, the Human Rights Campaign, and Time Out Youth, with the support of Bank of America.
This event is free and open to all ages and will be hosted in an accessible venue, including accessible entryways and restrooms. Therapists will be available during the evening.
