Pride Event Extra!

The Big Gay Yard Sale
2920 N Tryon St, Charlotte,
Wedgewood Community Church and Hearts United for Good (formerly the Hearts Beat As One Foundation) are hosting a yard sale in support of the Community Food Pantry!
We are hoping to have food trucks and lots of great items for sale! We are also hosting a concurrent online auction in support of the pantry, so if you’d like to donate auction items or items to the yard sale, please reach out to Liz at wedgewood.church@yahoo.com to coordinate a drop off time.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Community Food Pantry has distributed over 9,000 bags of food through our unique, socially-distanced, drive-through system. We currently feed between 100-150 families each week and every penny helps.
Many of us at Wedgewood and HUG are members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as most of our volunteers. Our food pantry is unique because we don’t require paperwork or identification for people to receive food and a number of our patrons are LGBTQ+ community members themselves.
This August, we are coming together to host a yard sale with all of the proceeds going back to the food pantry (and, thus, going back into the community we serve).
100% of the proceeds from the yard sale and auction will go to support the community food pantry.
