'More than just a festival'
Charlotte Pride is the leader in LGBTQ visibility in Charlotte and the Carolinas. We present and collaborate on programs, projects, and activities, including the annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade, Charlotte Trans Pride, Charlotte Latin Pride, and Reel Out Charlotte, among others. Since its founding in 2000, Charlotte Pride has expanded its year-round programming and partnerships to better connect community members with its mission, vision, and values. Our year-round programs, projects and activities help us fulfill our mission to enrich, empower, strengthen and make visible the unique lives and experiences of LGBTQ people in Charlotte and the Carolinas.
Reel Out Charlotte
Reel Out Charlotte is the Queen City’s annual LGBTQ film festival. This program of Charlotte Pride uses the power of art and film to entertain, enlighten and build valuable bridges of understanding, support, and acceptance within and between the LGBTQ and ally communities in the Charlotte region. The film festival will celebrate its 10th annual event in 2018.Learn More
Charlotte Pride Scholarship
The Charlotte Pride Scholarship aims to improve economic mobility for LGBTQ and Straight Ally college students from the Charlotte metro area by funding college scholarships. Recipients will be awarded up to $2,000 over four years to attend an accredited two or four-year college.Learn More
Charlotte Latin Pride
Charlotte Latin Pride is a collaborative community project designed to build the engagement and capacity of the local Latino/a LGBTQ community and its allies. Activities include social events as well as educational and outreach initiatives in order highlight the diversity of the local Latin/a community.Learn More
Charlotte Pride provides funding each year to present the annual Charlotte Pride Youth Dance, in collaboration with Time Out Youth Center. The event kicks off Charlotte Pride Week and provides a safe, alcohol- and drug-free social environment for youth under the age of 21. Charlotte Pride strives to provide a family-friendly atmosphere and activities throughout the year, from our annual Interfaith Service and Family Zone at the festival and parade to family-friendly activities at events produced by Reel Out Charlotte, Latin Pride and other programs. A wide diversity of LGBTQ and ally people of faith join to celebrate Pride each year at Charlotte Pride’s annual Interfaith Service, which helps to kick-off Charlotte Pride Week. Arts & Culture
In addition to our film arts programs and annual film festival, Reel Out Charlotte, Charlotte Pride also partners on several other collaborative projects highlighting the artistic and cultural diversity of the LGBTQ community. Past projects have included local artist Edwin Gil and art showcases featuring talent from local LGBTQ choral groups, photographers, dancers and others. Additionally, Charlotte Pride works to include a diversity of local talent in the line-up for each year’s festival entertainment.Learn More
Community Meeting & Event Space
Charlotte Pride offers free or low-cost meeting and event space to LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly community organizations. When not in use for organization activities, Charlotte Pride’s offices can be reserved by outside groups. Meeting spaces include two conference rooms, a lounge and more.Learn More
