Charlotte Pride is the leader in LGBTQ visibility in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Our mission is to create programs and activities to enrich, empower, strengthen, and make visible the unique lives and experiences of LGBTQ people in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Since our founding in 2000, Charlotte Pride has expanded our year-round programming and partnerships to better connect community members with our mission, vision, and values.
The annual Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade is the premier event bringing together the LGBTQ communities of the Carolinas and is the single-largest LGBTQ event held between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. The festival and parade also acts as a primary fundraiser for our programs, including the annual Reel Out Charlotte, Trans Pride and Latin Pride, as well as activities for area LGBTQ youth.
Last year’s festival and parade was a two-day event with a record-breaking 150,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. This diverse crowd provided a unique marketing opportunity for businesses intent on creating relationships within the LGBTQ community.
